Back in 2004 I was one of the first people in line to get my hands on the original PSP. I played it for about three weeks then forgot about it. I won't be making the same mistake twice, especially since the new PSPgo has a $250 price tag. I'm more likely to get an iPhone before I splurge on a PSPgo.
Sony, either come up with a PSP 2 or stop wasting our time.
Bioware hasn't forgotten about the original Mass Effect even with a sequel on the way. Bioware revealed in a recent Twitter post we might get some new Mass Effect DLC. No real facts about it yet here's what they said,
"Getting the feeling some news about the next ME1 DLC may be coming this week. Keep your eyes peeled."
Sounds good to me, but I'm more excited for the sequel next year.
I guess Shia LaBeouf bites the hand that feeds him. In an interview with Big Download the prick didn't hold anything back he said,
"I haven't been able to play the Wii game because my hand is broken. I've just been playing Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I would imagine that the Wii experience will be like...I don't mess with the Wii, to be honest with you. It's kind of an amateur console. I'm not into the Wii thing,"
That's a respectable argument, hell I agree with him, but If I was staring in/ruining a movie that's targeting the same audience that plays the Wii, I'd be treading lightly. Not to mention Activision and Krome Studios who are responsible for making the Wii Version of the transformer game probably aren't to happy.
Turns out Microsoft doesn't have a new console in the works for anytime soon. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer "poorly chose his words" last week when he said a new xbox with a natural interface is coming soon.
Microsoft's Project Natal was probably what he was referring to. To settle things down Microsoft's Director of Product Management for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Aaron Greenberg told Kotaku, "There will be no new console."
"We're not going to be launching a new console any time soon," Greenberg said during a phone call today. "I really believe he was speaking about Project Natal."
Oh well It doesn't really matter to me I have no issues with the current Xbox 360 and don't want to have to dish out another chunk of change for a replacement.
It seems only logical a grand theft auto title will end up on a Sony console still I'm a little surprised to be honest. I was under the impression Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars was developed with the Nintendo DS in mind. Plus how is Rockstar going to integrate the exclusive features (the touch screen) onto the PSP without a new control scheme that will feel sub par.
Don't forget China Town Wars has seen less than static sales on the DS. Maybe Rockstar figured out they might have made a bad call with the DS. In any event China Town Wars will be available this fall on UMD and Digital Download this fall.
Amazon is always good for some cheap thrills. Today Amazon is offering some older PS3 games at a heavy discount. For example Call of Duty Modern Warfare is on sale for $29.99 all day. They also have some timed deals so hurry and check it out.
The games aren't brand new but if you don't have them yet then you have no more excuses. 
The next DLC for Fallout 3 called Point Lookout hits this Tuesday June 23. Its available Xboxlive for 800 Microsoft points ($10) and is exclusive for Xbox 360 and PC. Check out the video from E3
I love Fallout 3 and will for sure pick up this DLC, but what about PS3 Fallout players? I understand all the DLC is exclusive on the 360 first and that it will eventually find its way to the PS3 but that just seems unfair. Fallout 3 is a phenomenal game no matter what system it's played on. Half the PS3 players would have long forgotten about the game by the time the DLC releases for their system. Oh well, I'll be playing on my 360 come Tuesday.
Digital Distribution of video games is no surprise to most of us. If fact I'm sure most of us has used it in the past. Looking into the future I can't see a more efficient and cost effective way to sell games to the masses besides Digital Distribution. It worked for apple and their iTunes, as well as Valve's Steam service is more popular now than ever.
Gamestop isn't convinced. according to Gamestop Digital Distribution of full games won't happen until 2014. I know I downloaded my copy of Soccom: Confrontation just this year not to mention Microsoft is beginning it's Games On Demand service soon that allows users to download full copies of xbox 360 games.
The question isn't "can" they do it but rather will people want to download instead of physically buy. The answer to that question is price. I'm sure theres people that like having a game case to put on their shelves, and theres others that don't really care either way. Plus if Digital Distribution does take off, the used game market will disappear over night. I'm sure that's what Gamestop is truly afraid of.
I knew it was only a matter of time before Left 4 Dead became Resident Evil 3. It looks like thats why valve is releasing it's creation tools. Check out this video of a fan using the creation tools for just that reason. Pretty impressive if you ask me, needs more zombies though.
Cliff Bleszinski Sucks. For those of you who don't know Cliffy B, he's the man primarily responsible for the Gears of War franchise. Apparently he's not ready to throw in the towel. Duh, Gears of War is a cash cow! There's waaaaaaaaaay to much money to be made with Gears for anyone to even think about cutting the story after Gears 2.
Anyways, Cliff annoys me. He thinks he's gods gift to video games and acts like it. Gears of War was a good game but I don't think its worth the hype. Thats right I said it, I think Gear is a little over rated. Regardless I judt don't like the way he presents himself
I don't have one but 80% of my friends have an iPhone shoved up their ass. They don't go to take a piss without it for gods sake. It's only natural they take advantage of the iPhone's ability to play games with one complaint; controls.
It's a great gaming platform but having to play every game with the touch screen limits developers to certain genres, unless they accept the awkward controls. Now apple is enabling third party designers to make physical controllers for the iPhone and iTouch with the recent upgrades.
Sure this idea looks good on paper but doesn't this defeat the purpose of an iPhone? I mean I always thought the point of having an iPhone was the convenience of having everything in the palm of you hand, not having to plug in a controller in order to get the full experience of a game. What do I know, but when I buy an iPhone I'm not gonna carry around one of these all the time

Bungie's next project is Halo: ODST and for some reason I'm becoming less and less interested the more I read. I'm a huge Halo fan and I'm not convinced it's going to due the franchise justice. Here's a video from E3...
Theres no doubt in my mind that I will purchase Halo: ODST. If for nothing else It includes the other half of the mythic map pack. Whether or not ODST will hold a candle to Halo 3 is to be decided but I don't see it happening.
Whats more Halo: Reach is next in the pipeline, what it is nobody knows. It feels just as stail, and remember this is coming from a HUGE Halo fan. I'm still excited to see where Bungie is taking the fanchise, I just hope Master Cheif shows up for the party.
Remember Onlive? You know the hit or miss broadband gaming distribution service every one's raving about. I thought so, here's their website if your still confused. Basically It streams the game your playing to the Onlive receiver in your house which enables you to play the game.
This idea looks good on paper but I'm not a believer just yet. Among other factors determining it's success one the biggest would have to be current console first party support. If Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo agree to stream there first party games Onlive might be onto something.
When Kotaku asked if Microsoft would participate they replied, that it's too early to talk about whether the Xbox 360 could be capable of replicating the promised capabilities of the OnLive service.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see, but if you ask me I don't see any of the big three supporting Onlive. Why would they allow another "competitor" to play their games? It's more likely that they will develope their own broadband gaming distribution service. I guess time will tell.
For me the biggest reason I'll buy a game on the 360 instead of the PS3 has always been Xbox Live. Though you have to pay for the service a 50 bucks is well worth it. Until they have annoying down times for a full 24 hours.
Xbox live has made a triumphant return and though their website has seen some improvements with avatars and profile additions not much else. I'm assuming it's probably just one of their yearly updates to improve their servers and what knot. Oh well I'm not complaining, there is a reason why xbox live is the best. I'm just glad a can connect again.
Red Faction: Guerrilla may be the most fun I've had in a game this generation of consoles. Virtually everything is destructible in the environment. Depending on how much mass an object has determines it's weak points and how it will fall. here's and example of multilayer
The first Just Cause wasn't exactly a blockbuster hit. It was either a hit or miss depending on your preferences. In fact it was so mediocre I don't remember if I even played it or not. So imagine my surprise when I heard all the buzz surrounding Just Cause 2. After watching this video I'm officially excited for Just Cause 2 and also bummed it doesn't come out until next year.

Looks like Nintendo jumping into the streaming video business with the Wii. Currently in Japan Wii owners already enjoy this featured while Nintendo is preparing it stateside. Looks like Nintendo is moving in a different direction than Sony or Microsoft by offering anime and cartoons.
Considering the only time my Wii turns on is when my Grandfather want to challenge me to a game of Wii bowling I don't think I'll be using this service to much. I'd much rather have my Wii capable of playing a fucking DVD rather than stream the latest episode of dragon ball Z, but what do I know.
The Nintendo Wii sucks, and here's why...
1. It's basically a repackaged Gamecube with "motion sensing" technology as old as the remote control for a t.v.
2. It has five games worth buying. there are hundreds of shit third party titles that trick parents into buying them for their kids. I'm surprised some joke developer doesn't make a game sorting through all the bad ones. It'd probably be better than most out for the system currently.
3. Nintendo left their hardcore fans in the dust. They figured out that they could make 387% more moola by appealing to the casual market. That also means the hardcore fans get screwed. While Nintendo's off making their precious money, I'm stuck watching dust collect on my Wii.
Don't get me wrong I love Nintendo which is why I'm so pissed. I feel betrayed by the company responsible for my video game addiction. So I propose we go on strike from nintendo, anyone else out there that feels like I do join my cause and maybe we can get Nintendo's attention again.

We all know Midway, most commonly known for it's Mortal Combat franchise, has seen better times. The company has been making cuts left and right over the last few months trying to avoid the inevitable.
Recently Warner Brothers has placed a bid to buy Midway for 33 million. The deal includes the rights to Midways only recently successful game, Mortal Combat, as well as two of the four studios Midway currently owns.
Honestly I don't care. I haven't played Mortal Combat since Sega Genesis. I can remember at one time it was impossible to walk into an arcade and not see at least 73 games with a big Midway logo on it's side. Sure Midway WAS cool but they aren't anymore so I say good ridden. Let the developers that make good games remain and keep the clutter in the electronics department at wal mart to a minimum.
The guy responsible for the pirates of the Caribbean mess is knee deep directing the Bioshock movie. So deep that he currently spent 160 million, that's million with an M, and was forced to stop production. Director Gore Verbinski says they are currently trying to figure out how to make the movie cheaper so they can continue work on it.
It's also rumored Mr. Verbinski is pitchin a bitch and might walk. I say who cares, let him go and cancel the movie. I'd much rather have the 160 MILLION go toward making Bioshock 2 the best game ever made. What do you think?

As we all know this generation of game consoles are trying to string out the lifespan of their current consoles as long as possible. If fact sony is sticking to their guns and are standing by a 10 year life cycle for their Playstation 3. So imagine the buzz a new rumor emerged about Microsoft's new console.
Apparently Microsoft isn't releasing a "new" console but rather just an improved version of the current Xbox 360. Maybe a machine capable of faster frame rates and just a little more graphical power. Lame! God I hope they don't do that. If they do everyone with the old console will get shafted by developers taking advantage of the newer one. Personally I don't see this happening, if anything microsoft might release the same 360 with a new look or maybe a little smaller in size and they'll probably release it with their new project natal.
